Caraga Region — In a significant milestone for Caraga
Regional Science High School (CRSHS), the Parents-Teachers
Association (PTA), under the leadership of President Cecilia T.
Sembrano, has generously donated funds for the construction of
ergonomically designed tables, contributing to the creation of a
modern, 21st-century classroom environment for Next Generation
Learning Hub. This donation is part of the ongoing efforts to
enhance student learning experiences and to foster a space that is
conducive to both comfort and academic success.
The donation, which was formally handed over during a
special turnover ceremony held on November 26, 2024, is a key
element in the school’s broader vision to modernize its classrooms,
particularly the newly established Next Generation Learning Hub.

The innovative hub, which was launched in November 2024, offers students a dynamic and
interactive learning space that integrates cutting-edge technology to support a wide range of
educational activities. The ergonomic tables, designed with the health and comfort of students in
mind, are a crucial addition to this modernized learning environment.
“We believe that a well-designed learning space is integral to academic success,” said
PTA President Cecilia T. Sembrano. “Our donation aims to ensure that CRSHS students not only
have access to state-of-the-art technology but also enjoy a comfortable and productive
environment in which to learn, collaborate, and grow.”
The ergonomic tables are an essential part of the 21st-century classroom model,
designed to promote better posture and facilitate longer periods of focused work without
discomfort. With adjustable features and modern designs, the tables support a flexible learning
environment where students can engage in various activities, from group projects and
collaborative learning to individual research and assessments.
Dr. Maria Ruth R. Edradan, the Secondary School Principal IV of CRSHS, expressed her
deep gratitude for the PTA’s contribution, emphasizing the importance of community
involvement in the school’s progress. “This generous donation underscores the unwavering
support of our parents and teachers, which has been vital in realizing the vision of an innovative
and student-centered learning environment. Together, we are building a foundation for the
future of education at CRSHS.”
The donation also aligns with the school’s broader commitment to integrating
technology and improving learning spaces for students. In the NextGen Learning Hub, students
now have access to 85 laptops, smart TVs, and tablets equipped with specialized educational
software. The addition of ergonomic furniture elevates the experience, ensuring that students
are not only engaged with modern educational tools but are also physically comfortable and
ready to learn for extended periods.
The turnover ceremony was attended by CRSHS faculty, students, parents, and local
education officials. It highlighted the importance of collaboration between the school, its
students, and the wider community in achieving the shared goal of creating an environment
that nurtures academic excellence.
With the completion of this phase of the project, CRSHS continues to set the standard
for innovative and forward-thinking educational practices in the region. The PTA’s generous
donation marks a critical step in transforming Caraga Regional Science High School into a
model institution for 21st-century education—one that blends technology, comfort, and
collaboration for the benefit of every student.
As the NextGen Learning Hub flourishes, the continued support of the PTA and other
community stakeholders ensures that CRSHS students will have access to a state-of-the-art
learning experience, not just in the Next Gen Learning Hub but to all its existing classrooms as
well in the future — empowering them to excel in an increasingly digital world
