CRSHS NextGen Learning Hub

In November 2024, Caraga Regional Science High School (CRSHS) embarked on a
transformative journey with the creation of its Next Generation Learning Hub formerly known as Computer Laboratory, a milestone that would redefine the way students engaged with their education. This vision, once a mere aspiration, came to life through the dedicated efforts of Engr. Alwin G. Ga, the Computer Lab/ICT Coordinator and his team of colleagues, whose relentless commitment to educational advancement sparked the initiative. With a keen eye for innovation and an unwavering desire to empower the future of learning, they undertook the monumental task of transforming an ordinary classroom into a state-of-the-art learning hub.

Integral to the success of the project was the invaluable support and leadership of Dr.
Maria Ruth R. Edradan, the esteemed Secondary School Principal IV of CRSHS together with the Assistant School Principal, Myrna Y. Gijapon and Assistant School Head, Dr. Mark Anthony T. Bangao. Their forward-thinking approach and steadfast belief in the potential of technology to enhance student learning were pivotal in bringing the vision to fruition. Their guidance and encouragement set the foundation upon which the hub was built, ensuring that every step taken aligned with the school’s commitment to excellence.

Curriculum Overview

Most of the Science and Technology-related guidelines were crafted during the implementation of the Revised Basic Education Curriculum (RBEC). The remarkable curricular reform from RBEC into the Enhanced Basic Education Curriculum or K to 12, made some of the provisions in the S&T-related guidelines inconsistent and inapplicable vis-a-vis policies and guidelines for Kto12 Basic Education.

Subject Distribution and Elective Subjects

Below is the timetable for regular, specialized, and elective subjects for RSHS. The subjects and their corresponding instruction time are based on DepEd Order No. 31, s. 2012 (Policy Guidelines on the Implementation of Grades 1 to 10 of the Kto12 Basic Education Curriculum
Effective School Year 2012-2013), while the elective subjects and enhanced Science and Mathematics are based on Polices and Guidelines on the Implementation of the Science, Technology and Engineering (STE) Program at the Secondary Level, and DO No. 57, s. 2011 (Policy Guidelines in the Implementation of the Special Science Elementary Schools Project).

Senior High School

Specialized Academic Tracks

At CRSHS, our Senior High School program offers three specialized tracks to prepare students for their future: STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) for aspiring scientists and innovators, ABM (Accountancy, Business, and Management) for future entrepreneurs and business leaders, and HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences) for students passionate about society, culture, and human behavior. Each track combines rigorous academics, real-world applications, and character development to equip students with the skills and knowledge they need for higher education, the workforce, or entrepreneurship. With dedicated teachers and a supportive environment, we help students unlock their potential and achieve their dreams.
