The City Government of Surigao honored 61 students from Caraga Regional Science High School (CRSHS) for winning awards in international science and mathematics competitions.
During the flag-raising ceremony at City Hall Grounds on July 7, 2025, the students received Certificates of Recognition for their achievements in three global Olympiads:
12 winners β Hong Kong International Science Olympiad (HKISO)
20 winners β International Equilibrium Science Olympiad (IESO)
29 winners β Thailand International Mathematical Olympiad (TIMO)
Mayor Pablo Yves L. Dumlao II led the awarding, joined by City Councilor Arnold Go, Dr. Faith Elumba, Atty. Noel Catre, Karl Duane Casurra, Perfecto Consigo, Joenil Aldonza, SK Federation President Jenelyn Edulzura, Liga ng mga Barangay President Florenillo Ravelo, Board Member John Cubillan (District I), Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Marilou S. Dedumo, and the studentsβ dedicated coaches and mentors.
The City Government commends the students for bringing honor to Surigao and the Caraga Region. Their success reflects not only their hard work but also the strength of science and math education in the region.
