CRSHS - A HISTORY:
The birth of DepEd Caraga Administrative Region of February 23, 1995 by virtue of the Republic Act No.7901 required the establishment of the Regional Science High School with permanent site. The Regional Director, Sol F. Matugas declared the unequivocal stand to open the Regional Science High School.
For the first two years Caraga Regional Science High School shared the roof of the Surigao City National High School being the mother school. Finally in 1999, it transferred to its new school site with six academic classrooms. CRSHS started its humble beginning, having only 120 freshmen qualifiers, mostly coming from the elementary schools of the same division and from the nearby municipalities of Surigao del Norte.
